(Santa Barbara, CA – February 14, 2011) President Washington is still coming. But not until Autumn. His exciting visit has been postponed until September.
(Santa Barbara, CA – 11 January 2011) Santa Barbara Tea Party announced today that a visit by President George Washington (portrayed by veteran historical actor, Frederick T. Alexander) will be part of their annual Washington’s Birthday Party and Celebration. He will speak on “How I Became an American” at the group’s commemoration of the 279th anniversary of his birth on February 22, 1732. The event, which will held on Tuesday, February 22, at 7:15 PM (to 8:15 PM), is open to the public, and families are encouraged to attend.
Mr. Alexander has an extensive resume in the role of the First President since he began his interpretation in 1994, including performances on the History Channel in “Presidential Prophecies” and “An American Thanksgiving,” on the Ellen DeGeneres TV Show, in a Library of Congress Commercial, at the Huntington Library and Reagan Presidential Library, and in the Tournament of Roses Parade, among others.
Location is TBD. A birthday cake will be served during a meet and greet with the American legend who was pronounced, “First in War, First in Peace, First in the hearts of his Countrymen,” following the Question and Answer period.
