Chris Mitchum Needs Our Help

What We Can Do

“The moment the idea is admitted into society that property is not as sacred as the laws of God, and that there is not a force of law and public justice to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence.”
– John Adams, A Defense of the American Constitutions, 1787

There are a number of things that we, as individuals and constituents, can do to help turn this country around. First, we can vote. We must vote. If there is even the remotest thought that voting is not worthwhile, please reconsider. It is the ultimate means of controlling our destiny.

Next, we can offer means of support to our candidates – people who we believe will make their mark on returning this country to its constitutional roots and commitment to freedom. Chris Mitchum is our candidate for the House of Representatives, the people’s house. He is committed to conservative principles and needs your help right now.

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) needs to make a commitment to support Chris’ campaign. They have not yet done so, thinking that this is not a winnable seat. We disagree.

Please, take a few minutes to call or write Kevin McCarthy, the Republican Majority leader, and tell him that Chris – no, we as Chris’ constituents – need the NRCCs support for this campaign. Chris can win – Lois Capps is vulnerable. Please call or write now! Sample letter below!

Date

The Honorable Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy
2421 Rayburn House Office Building
United States House of Representatives
Washington DC 20515

Dear Honorable Kevin McCarthy,

I am a constituent of the 24th Congressional District of the State of California and I am writing to ask you and the NRCC to support our Republican Congressional candidate, Chris Mitchum. The 24th district is a seat that we can take away from Democrat Lois Capps. It is a winnable seat for Republicans.

Lois Capps is at her most vulnerable state ever during this election cycle because: 1. This is an off year election, 2. The redrawn district has only a small majority of Democrat voters, 3. Capps campaign staff is under investigation for a serious cover-up of a staff member’s fatal hit-and-run incident while on duty, and 4. The continuing decline of Obama’s popularity which is tied closely to Capps.

Chris is the best candidate we have put forth for this seat in many years. He is deserving of all the support the NRCC can muster. Please, we can win this seat if the NRCC backs him.

Sincerely,

Name,

email address.

Precinct Walk for No on Measure P

“There can be only one possible defense policy for the U.S. It can be expressed in one word – the word is 1st. I do not mean 1st when – I don’t mean 1st if – I mean 1st, period.”
– J.F.K. from The Notes by Ronald Reagan

No on Measure P Precinct Walking

What: Volunteer to walk precincts to support “NO” on measure P
When: Saturday, September 6 (this Saturday)
Time: 9 AM to 1 PM
Where: 3710 State Street (No on P headquarters) Suite “A”

For those of you who don’t already know what Measure P is, it is an important issue in Santa Barbara County that will be on the ballot this November. If passed, it will shut down nearly ALL existing oil and gas production in SB County- not just fracking, which proponents of Measure P misleadingly advertise (we’re not even fracking in Santa Barbara!). Oil and gas has been a major part of Santa Barbara County’s economy for over 100 years. More than 1,000 people will lose their jobs, nearly $300 million will be lost annually to our county’s economy, and schools, fire protection, and other vital government services will lose millions of dollars in annual funding.

Measure P is a drastic and costly measure that will affect many workers and families, and be very damaging to Santa Barbara County’s economy. Visit noonmeasurep.com for more information.

Join us for a few hours this Saturday from 9AM-1PM to walk our neighborhoods and spread the word about the detrimental effects of Measure P. Lunch will be provided to volunteers! Attached is a flier.

The No on Measure P Campaign Headquarters is located at 3710 State St. Suite #A (parking behind building), and our office is open every day. For those of you who want to be a part of this campaign but don’t want to precinct walk, we have many other volunteer opportunities! Get involved!

Please contact Rachel Kim at r.kim327@gmail.com / (760) 793-6653 if you have any questions or are interested in getting involved! See flyer here.
